Producer Grant4ore has that with his newest release, “V,” which features 20 tracks can put you in the right headspace to get some work done, or just chill out, depending on your preference. Smacking percussion has a bit of a trap flare to it, but some hazy, buzzing synths put the lo-fi sonic feel to work, and all of that gets augmented by synthetic woodwinds, strings, and plucks along the way. From start to finish, “V” is the kind of release that you need in your life, if only for an hour or so. Space out accordingly with “V” below:

AUDIO: Auntie – “!”

Coming straight out of left field, producer Auntie gets experimental for their latest tape, “!.” The nine-track project is a beat tape that lives in the unconventional, cutting up beats into what feels like extra chopped up segments and distorting just about every element of the sonic creation along the way. Nothing really goes beyond two minutes, which is perfectly fine for what is going on here. Auntie functions best in the grey rather than the black and white, and that abstract approach to making beats makes this project feel entirely different. Check it out below:

AUDIO: TyLuv. – “Sunset Road”

Producer TyLuv. has a new EP out, and he sets the mood properly with “Sunset Road.” Six lo-fi tracks create a sonic picture here, with most of the beats coming in under two minutes in length. AUDIO: Phil N. Deblank – “Consciousness Of Streams”

Showcasing an array of sounds in a short number of tracks is often not the preferred route of producers, but Phil N. Deblank manages to do so on his latest EP beat tape on PV2 Records, “Consciousness Of Streams”. In just three tracks, the beatsmith manages to cover everything from lo-fi to street rap, and throws some funk in as well. While everything has a unique hip hop feel to it, elements of electronica come into play, and some vocal samples break up the monotony of the looped beats. There is far beyond simple instrumentals when it comes to what Phil N. Deblank is doing. Given the opportunity to link up with the right artist, he could make a serious impact in the Milwaukee music scene. Get a sample of what he’s been up to with “Consciousness Of Streams” below.

In many ways it replicates the dozens of thoughts firing off in the brain constantly, looking for clarity. Pick up what Wisdm is putting down with “Bilancia (Liv)” below:

AUDIO: Getawaydriver – “Introvert”

Producer getawaydriver has a new project out, and it feels reminiscent of the past year. “Introvert” is full of dark sounding beats that can feel lonesome at times. Tracks like “Distancing” obviously hit the nail on the head, but there’s a feeling of solitude before you hear the tracks take off with loads of bass and trap elements. When the tracks pick up, they’re in overdrive, and there’s a sense of pure energy when the time calls for it.
