While their 2018 project “Galápagos” was one of the strongest releases of the year, Paper Holland’s 2019 remix project, “Galápados”, may be one of the year’s most creative. Inspired by seeing Nickel&Rose cover their songs, the band curated a host of remixes and reinterpretations from a host of Milwaukee artists, including Klassik, Vincent Van Great, Versio Curs, LUXI, Chris Porterfield and many more. In many ways, this feels like a completely separated compilation album from the original Paper Holland release, only tied together by track titles and lyrics. Paper Holland celebrated the release of “Galápados” as well as the vinyl release of “Galápagos” this past Saturday at The Cooperage, and now you can check out the remix project here. All proceeds from the sales of “Galápados” benefit Arte Para Todos as well, so we suggest you also purchase it via Bandcamp.
