Ahead of a new EP, Bug Moment dives into scuzzy emo on “Chaos Emerald” – getting dirt under their fingernails on a grungy kiss-off that pulls no punches. The guitars really tell the story here, chugging and lurching under a passionate performance from lead vocalist Jasmine Rosenblatt and kicking up as emotions progressively run higher. It’s the latest and most potent installment in the band’s venture into rougher, broodier textures of emo and post-hardcore, accented by electronic flourishes that have come to define their brand of nostalgic alt-fusion.

Bug Moment’s new EP The Lazer Collection is out on March 7, and the release show is on March 8 at Cactus Club with openers Hey, ILY and Blind Equation.
