Lady Cannon recently announced that they are disbanding – but not before they released a new EP. Martha Cannon’s enchanting blend of folk, Americana, and pop takes us for a dance one last time as the band touches on themes such as distance growing between two lovers, misplacing love, and coming back to someone who’s hurt you. An ensemble of musicians featuring Steph Lippert and Ellie Jackson on vocals, Vincent Kircher on guitar, bass and percussion, Barry Paul Clark on upright bass, Andrew Trim on guitar, Pat Reinholz on cello and Devin Drobka on percussion amplifies the emotive themes with grandeur. We’re going to miss Lady Cannon a lot, but “Take It Out On Me” is a warm and poised sendoff. Check it out!
