Folk pop artist Valerie Lighthart released her highly-anticipated new EP today. With four tunes, Lighthart explores the various dimensions of femininity that challenge the mold of societal norms, embarking on her own mission to reclaim and express herself as she sees fit. She does so by juxtaposing ethereal pop sensibilities with an antique folk aesthetic, building something that seems delicate on the exterior but remains bold as ever on the inside. Valerie Lighthart has been making waves this past year, especially with her being selected by the 88Nine Amplifier program; it’s been delightful watching her growth as an artist and we are eager to see how she’ll continue innovating her infectious artistry from here.
