This week’s Artist (or band) of the Week is The Fatty Acids. They describe themselves as “a half-a-dozen-boy band that have accidentally been kicking around tunes for a half-decade” Their website features a link to cats. While they may joke a bit with their fans, their music is anything but a joke. They’ve put out a couple solid LPs, as well as a split EP with Faux Fir. Their sound has a lot of energy, with enough catchy riffs to stick in your head until you can possibly get back to an Ipod or something to hear them again. Check out “Astrovan”, the first song that turned me onto this band. It’ll get stuck in your head, and you will go listen to them again and again and again.
