VIDEO: Joshua Jenkins – “Emotions”

Hip hop artist Joshua Jenkins collaborated with Famous Motion & Photography on the visual for his latest single. He’s found out in the nature preserve having a day to himself, with his positivity shining as bright as the sun. Jenkins raps about not letting intense feelings get in the way of focus; he lets himself breathe as he moves with intention, betting on himself the whole way. AUDIO: FamousMF – “The Real Me Vs. The One You Know”

You know Famous Motion and Photography, aka FamousMF as the man behind some of your favorite Milwaukee rap videos. He branches out with some new music, though, releasing “The Real Me Vs. The One You Know,” a personal, raw EP. There’s five tracks in total, with Famous pulling the curtain back, letting some of his innermost thoughts out for these songs. There’s tales of stress and anxiety, and the coping mechanisms for the antisocial rapper forced to be out in the public eye most of the time. VIDEO: Mr.Lloyd – “Believe”

Fresh off the release of his “The Regime” album, Mr.Lloyd has the video for “Believe,” shot by Famous Motion & Photography. The song is a positive one, with an upbeat energy to it that feels inspiring. Lloyd is talking about having an upstanding character and achieving your dreams through hard work. It’s a good message, and the visuals feature him performing the track with the kids around, as he looks to inspire the next generation. VIDEO: Kia Rap Princess – “Talk My Shit (Feat. King Kamonzi & DJ Breez)”

Hip hop artist Kia Rap Princess returns with the first visual for her forthcoming album “Chapter X.” Shot by Famous Motion Films and Photography, the video features memorabilia from Antonia’s Hip Hop Museum 360 here in town. Kia is joined by King Kamonzi in the museum, where they admire the vast hip hop culture before dropping bars of their own. With worthy flexes and assertive demeanor over a DJ Breez beat, Kia and Kamonzi are out here making history, not just hits. Stay tuned for “Chapter X” dropping next week.

VIDEO: Jbr Kujo – “Escape”

Times are tough for young artist Jbr Kujo, and he’s venting in his new video for “Escape.” The production is low-key on this one, but Kujo brings a different energy to the table, talking about things falling apart in his personal life, and getting stuck in dilemmas that he has to break free from in order to live the life he wants. The performance clip from Famous Motion & Photography is solid, and adequately represents the internal struggle that Kujo is going through on the track. We’ll be looking for more from Jbr Kujo going forward, and you can check out the “Escape” video below:

VIDEO: J.O Rodriguez – “None Been the Same”

Hip hop artist J.O Rodriguez has his first single and video out since he dropped last year’s “Time Ticking Get the Bag.” Directed by Famous Motion Film & Photography, Rodriguez is shown seated by himself at a table laden with weed and money. He raps about how money changes people and it breaks his heart. He tries not to stress but keeps most people at a distance since he’s got to secure his own bag for he and his son. It’s an honest, vulnerable joint from J.O Rodriguez and we look forward to seeing what he’ll do next.

VIDEO: Mr.Lloyd – “Wrong Path”

Mr.Lloyd has a new video out from his “B.L.U.E.” project, and he’s telling a street story on “Wrong Path.” With a beat from 40 Mil, Lloyd plays narrator, and his commanding vocals and tough demeanor drive the point of the story home. Lyrically, the track deals with a youth who got wrapped up in doing anything for money and not recognizing the consequences. The video from Famous Motion & Photography mixes performance footage around various paraphernalia with the reenactment of the story, making for a complete package. If you haven’t heard Mr.Lloyd’s

VIDEO: Mr.Lloyd – “Smoke And Mirrors”

On his latest project, “B.L.U.E. (Born Living Under Evil)” Mr.Lloyd gets off all of his thoughts about the world and the most sacred of institutions. For a single from the project, he doubles down on the visuals with the new clip for “Smoke And Mirrors”, which looks at the practice of donating money to the church. The video from Famous Motion & Photography captures that quite literally, as Mr.Lloyd dons religious apparel while fanning dollar bills in the performance clip. VIDEO: LL Coogi – “Drug Dealer”

LL Coogi is building to the release of his “King Coogi 5” project, and that includes a new clip for his single, “Drug Dealer” from the previous installment of the series. With a lethal horn sample, the production hits hard, and Coogi has a street-heavy flow as we’ve seen from him on previous tracks. The performance video from Famous Motion & Photography is heavy on the strobe lights, matching Coogi’s energy when it comes to delivering the song. VIDEO: LL Coogi – “Keefe Street Flow”

LL Coogi’s background in battle rap shines with his latest single and video, “Keefe Street Flow.” With a new clip from Famous Motion & Photography, Coogi asks for substance, and then delivers, with street-heavy bars over a beat that combines bounce and dark tones that are more tailored for a lyricist. Whether he’s putting talking about people catching cases or rapping about how people snitch on themselves via social media, Coogi spits with conviction, as he’s shown time and time again in his catalog. VIDEO: Spaidez – “Loser”

After a recent health scare, Spaidez is back in full force with new content for 2021. His latest video is “Loser,” where he revels in the term while flexing throughout the clip. The hook is the main focus of the song, and it’s sure to be stuck in your head, as Spaidez talks about coming from the hood to have the finer things in life. The video from Famous Motion & Photography is clean, with Spaidez and his associates living in luxury on set. We’re glad to see the Milwaukee artist back in action, and undoubtedly he’ll have a busy 2021. Check out the new video below:

VIDEO: J.D. “The Chief” FT. Mista Marcus – “Psycho”

J.D. “The Chief” and Mista Marcus teamed up recently to explore an abandoned warehouse on Milwaukee’s South Side…and they made a music video out of it! The pair introduce the first edition of “High and Haunted” and mention that there’s been murders in this place as they smoke a blunt. Once they enter, things immediately take a turn for the worse as they find blood and amputated body parts lying around. They go upstairs and get attacked, and that’s where the music starts. The song combines gory horror with the rappers’ metaphoric horror in a clever juxtaposition. Ending with JD sharing a blunt with the killer, we’re reminded why we don’t smoke weed and enter creepy buildings. but in the most entertaining way possible. Not for the queasy.

VIDEO: Evisu Mane – “Minding my Business”

Hip hop artist Evisu Mane’s latest video is out for a track he dropped back in November. Famous Motion Films shot this one; Mane is shown in the booth rapping about staying in his own lane and not having anything to do with someone not with it. He and his homie are racking up cash and dancing to celebrate their success. Mane has the right idea; you can’t concern yourself with outdoing others – only outdoing yourself. We’ll be watching what Evisu Mane does in the months to come.

VIDEO: D. Mayo – “Fans Only”

Hip hop artist D. Mayo recently dropped the EP “Fans Only” and here he’s got a visual for the title track. Shot by Famous Motion, he’s seen under a bridge, on top of an SUV, and out in a field standing in the middle of a smoke bomb. The song is about Mayo’s confrontation with his past as he’s shifted focus on what truly matters, having lost friends and mostly riding solo these days. He’s come up in the scene and now treats the booth like it’s clocking into work; his fans are the ones that keep him inspired. It’s a song of personal redemption for D. Mayo, and we look forward to more visuals (and music, of course) from him soon.

VIDEO: Yo Dot – “YeaMan”

Yo Dot and Plaga have been keeping the momentum high following the release of their latest collaborative EP, “Self Checkout 2,” and that includes the visuals for the lead track from the project, “YeaMan.” The production from Plaga is smooth, and being the first track of the release, Yo Dot doesn’t hesitate to throw the bars out with his trademark gritty flow. The video from Famous Motion & Photography is clean as well, with the duo performing the track inside UpperDeck Studios as well as an abandoned bus. It’s a good look, and just a sample of what Yo Dot does lyrically on “Self Checkout 2.” Check out the new video below:

VIDEO: Lump G – “IGDOM”

A certain faction of hip hop has always been about the hustle, and the latest video and single from Lump G embraces all of that. “IGDOM” or “I got dope on me”, is a street-friendly track all about making moves and stacking money. Lump G’s delivery is everything to this track, coming across as an authentic hustler that isn’t slowing down for anyone. The track is catchy, and the performance clip from Famous Motion & Photography only further emphasizes the track, positioning Lump in his car while on the move. All around, this is a high-quality product, and hopefully we’ll see Lump G transition this into a successful run of singles from here on out. Check out the video below:

VIDEO: No Seatbelts – “The One”

No Seatbelts is a project mixing jazz, funk, and R&B into a fusion sound, and their debut music video is of their song “The One,” shot by Famous Motion & Photography. The band expressed that considering the times, they had been hesitant to release content at the moment, but ultimately decided it would be only right to release something celebrating black joy. The video depicts the band at rehearsal, which ultimately turns into them pouring up drinks and having a good time. There may be some That 70s Show references incorporated as well. The song is soulful, delightful, and has a groove that’ll get you pulling your lover to the dancefloor.

VIDEO: Jxmmi Euell Featuring Spaidez – “Miss Camila”

Fresh off of the release of his “Full Deck Baby” project, Spaidez is keeping his grind up, creating a new label, Full Deck Entertainment. The first act that he’s put onto his roster is Jxmmi Euell, and with that, we get the visuals for his single “Miss Camila”. The track has production that favors both artists’ style of melodic trap, and while the song is a showcase for Euell, it also serves as another reminder of Spaidez’ unique delivery as well. VIDEO: Young Deuces Featuring Serita Campbell – “Fly Me”

Young Deuces is making music with actual substance, which is becoming more and more of an anomaly in today’s music. The latest drop is the new video for “Fly Me”, a track that speaks on becoming your best self, and escaping the pitfalls that young black men are subjected to growing up. The cadence is on point, and Campbell’s hook is a tremendous vocal performance. The track comes from Deuces’ “Son Of A Soldier” project, which expounds on some of the topics covered in this track as well. VIDEO: ShottaGang Syc – “Not An Option”

There’s a seemingly endless supply of new rappers that come out frequently to become the next wave of Milwaukee hip hop. Amongst them is ShottaGang Syc, who just put out his latest video, “Not An Option”. The clip is the third video from the young artist, but he has the sound of a veteran, with an effortless flow on the microphone. When a young artist shows comfort in delivering verses like this, there’s definite potential for the future. We’ll be looking for more from ShottaGang Syc in the coming months, but you can check out the Famous Motion & Photography-shot video here below:

VIDEO: TTG Rio – “Run It Up”

While we talk pretty frequently of the new generation of Milwaukee hip hop acts coming up, many are at least somewhere around 20 years old, or at least in the neighborhood where performing in clubs and bars seems feasible. However, newcomer TTG Rio is only 15 years old, as he puts in the bars of his new single, “Run It Up”, and shows a tremendous amount of potential with the track. With a melodic flow, the Riverside High School student showcases some intuition for what makes for a commercially viable single, and brings his crew along for the ride in the performance clip from Famous Motion & Photography. VIDEO: Vega Jay – “Boss Man”

As is customary around the beginning of every year, a swarm of new Milwaukee rappers put some of their early efforts out to make a name for themselves within the city. That’s the case with Vega Jay, who is kickstarting his 2020 with a new single and video for “Boss Man”. With a beat lifted from a grime track, Vega takes to some hard production with ease, spitting tough bars about hustling. The video from Famous Motion Film & Photography is smooth as well, adding an extra element to the release. Vega Jay has a string of singles out, but hopefully 2020 sees him expanding on that for a bigger release. Check out the video for “Boss Man” below:

VIDEO: Mr.Lloyd – “Lit”

Milwaukee artist Mr.Lloyd has been consistent in his game as of late, working hard to elevate his name within a cluttered Milwaukee hip hop scene. That includes a new single and visual for “Lit”, directed by Famous Motion and Photography. With production from Jase, Lloyd hits the track full of hard trap production with ease, putting an emphasis on the delivery of his bars. “Lit” is a strong way to finish out the year, but we’ll be expecting more from Mr.Lloyd in 2020. VIDEO: Sypher Squad – “Talk About It”

The collective known as Sypher Squad is back with a new track and video, and this time, there’s a message behind their words on “Talk About It”. The track is intended to create a conversation about mental health, and do so in a way that still creates a memorable song from the group as well. Sypher Lady X holds down the hook, and we get verses from herself, as well as Dr. Blade and Tony Kaye. The video features the group individually facing their demons with a therapist, played by Ole P. Sypher Squad have had a name in Milwaukee for a long time, and it’s good to see the group together making music with some substance. Check out the video below:

VIDEO: Armstrong Ransome, AG Da Gift, LR & Kananga RMG – “Growing Pains” (Premiere)

The Land By The Lake series of Milwaukee compilations are really the gift that keeps on giving, and as Land By The Lake III is taking shape, we have the first video from the newest installment, with Armstrong Ransome, AG Da Gift, LR, and Kananga RMG joining forces for “Growing Pains”. The track is humbling, and as the title suggests, each Ransome, AG, and LR talking about the struggles that they’ve endured growing up over production from DJ Payday and 40 Mil. The hook from Kananga ties everything together, and the track really puts things in a new perspective. We know there’s always a ton of content that comes along with each installment of the Land By The Lake series, so watch for more soon, and check out the premiere of the Famous Motion & Photography-shot video below:
