Milwaukee rocker Robert Russel strips away pretense and dives headfirst into improvised jams with his latest release, “Seven Veils In False Shadows.” The new record is fully self-produced, with Russel playing every instrument of the album. At times, things lean heavy on the guitar, with elements of bluesy riffs. Other times, things are further into an ambient territory, with Russel allowing time for tracks to develop. In any sense, “Sevev Veils In False Shadows” feels rooted in a myriad of classic rock and roll influences, blended together into a unique fusion. Check out the album below:
