Trapper Schoepp is back with new music, and he’s traded in his acoustic guitar for distortion pedals and angst, pointed in one direction in particular. He takes on big pharma on “Satan Is Real (Satan Is A Sackler),” talking about the family behind the marketing of OxyContin. As he notes on Instagram, the song stems from his own issues with taking prescriptions for chronic pain, and this song is in solidarity with survivors of opioid abuse. In addition to the new song, Schoepp has a new album on the way in September via Blue Elan Records, and an August tour run with Laura Jane Grace coming up. Check it out here:
