LoBi LoBianco released a new record at the top of the year, with “Parlor Games” being nothing short of catharsis embodied. LoBi lets some inner frustrations out on this record, touching on everything from addiction to identifying as queer, and the commodification of art in general. That angst comes out in the record, though, with songs like “Punk Rock Superman” feeling like garage-rock anthems, and the soundtrack of a previous generation being paid forward into the modern era. LoBi celebrated the release of the record (and cassette tape) with a show at Linneman’s, and there’s certainly more to come in the next few months. Check out the album here:
