AUDIO: Matthew Davies – “A Ship Called Blind Devotion”

Singer-songwriter Matthew Davies released a new album recently. With ten songs, Davies brings his seasoned, earnest lyrical approach as he contemplates life’s daily races in which we meander and persevere through while asking ourselves difficult existential questions. Largely favoring a stripped-down folk sound, Davies touches on topics of self-sabotage (“Wrecking Ball”), fear of death (“Another World”), companionship (“You Go I Go”, “On A Summer Day”), repeating cycles over and over again (“Shaking Chains”) and more. Matthew Davies walks us through adulthood crises with “A Ship Called Blind Devotion.”
