Psych-indie rock project Limber Brain released a new album last week. The ten-song body of work explores coming-of-age themes such as entering new chapters (“Open A New Door”), growing apart from people (“Twyla (the Light of my Life)”), seeking love from someone (“I’m the One Who Wants You”) and the innocence of uncertainty (“What’s Wrong with Being Wrong (If You Don’t Know What to Believe In)”). While much of these topics understandably come with somber storytelling, many of Limber Brain’s melodies here are warm, uplifting and hopeful with a bittersweetness. Limber Brain takes us floating down the river of passing time and shifting surroundings with “Everyone Else is Leaving.”
