AUDIO: Resurrectionists – “Now That We Are All Ghosts”

Resurrectionists released their sophomore LP today. Coalescing elements of doom, country, Americana and blues, the record take Resurrectionists’ sound into further experimental gloom with nine songs that range from gentle laments (“Break & Enter Pt. 2”, “Let Me Talk You Through This One”) to slow-building sonic storms that gradually thunder (“Blue Henry”, “(Hotel With Pool)”). Joe Cannon’s vocals provoke poignance and catharsis with lyrical themes of loneliness, decay, time’s ruthlessness, slow burn and other powerfully downcast imageries. Resurrectionists invoke existential questions of futility, memory, loss and death with “Now That We Are All Ghosts”; they are releasing music videos for each song, so stay tuned.
