AUDIO: Scam Likely – “Getting Worse”
Scam Likely released their long-anticipated debut album this weekend, and on top of it played a sold-out show at The Back Room at Colectivo. 2022 saw the band becoming a powerhouse act very quickly, bringing explosive energy from the territories of alternative pop, gothic punk and indie rock. “Getting Worse” is the culmination of everything that Scam Likely has been building up with all the provocative hooks, fierce attitude, exciting riffage and humorous concepts that one could want from a record. They’re not afraid of experimenting with their sound either, ready to be vivacious (“Sushi At Gunpoint”, “Watch Your Step”) but capable of slowing things down with sentimentality too (“S.P.I.T.”, “Voodoo Doll”). “Getting Worse” is only the beginning for Scam Likely as they’ve built a substantial foundation for themselves here in Milwaukee music.
