Singer-songwriter Sam Rodenwald released a new album that is inspired by the back covers of the “Paperbacks From Hell” series. These songs were indeed written in October, containing spooky stories of ghosts, kids’ games, auctioning your life, and Angelina from “Black Ambrosia.” While some songs are folk at heart, others incorporate additional elements such as rock (“Stage Fright”) and electronica (“The Spirit”).
