Singer/Songwriter Jacob Slade recently put out a pair of new songs, and he’s encompassing the feel of Riverwest with “Songs From Humboldt Ave.” The two-pack features “When My Heart Skips A Beat,” a mellow, grooving track that glides from point a to point b, and “Poring Over Time Before And After,” the more serene of the cuts. Both tracks keep the volume low, and as the cover art insinuates, the songs feel like a sunny morning with an intimate recording session from the comfort of home.
