You could call Mas Verde many things. They’re rock, surf, blues, jazz, psych, and dream pop all in one. For all intents and purposes, let’s call them a new band you need to listen to. Their debut record is out and it’s sprawling with sun-kissed summer party energy. Fronted by Zach Spiegler (rhythm guitarist of Will Pfrang and the Good Land Gang), the band defies genre to the point where each track is like a different-flavored candy in the box. The group are having their record release party tomorrow night at the Up & Under.
