There have been countless songs about the story of Bonnie and Clyde, but not many have the conviction and grit of Will Pfrang and the Good Land Gang’s latest, “I Rob”. The track features the band’s signature blues-meets-indie sound, and Pfrang’s low vocal tones add a different dimension to a song about robbing to make ends meet. While the lyrics boast about large hotel rooms and traveling with guns to the next location, Pfrang’s delivery suggests a level of regret to that lifestyle, with a bevvy of smooth guitars creating a landscape for the story to be told. “I Rob” is the band’s first effort of 2020, and with a single and EP under their belt already, within the last couple of years, it seems as though something bigger is on the horizon.
