Producer Bracket and Lineup for Big Beat MKE Announced
It’s (almost) time! Sixteen Milwaukee-based producers of hip hop and electronic music will compete in four rounds of beat battles for the chance to claim the first Big Beat MKE title. Over thirty producers submitted both an original production of their choice, as well as a remix of WebsterX’s “Intuition” in order to be eligible for the competition. Those submissions were reviewed by a selection committee consisting of members of Milwaukee’s music scene, including staff members of 88Nine Radio Milwaukee, WebsterX, Dashcam of Nice FM, and more. The top 16 vote getters were selected for the first round of competition. Battles were determined by a random draw.

May 3rd: MystiK MuziK vs. Hot Science, Ag Da Gift vs. Black Lines, Din Sky
May 10th: Dumros vs. Main Key, SML8 vs. KD
May 17th: SDProduces vs. Tron Jovi (of Guerrilla Ghost), Golden Child vs. Djay JC
Every night of Big Beat MKE will feature two producer battles, as well as performances from two Milwaukee artists as well.

The opening round will take place every Thursday from April 26th-May 17th, with Quarterfinal battles on May 31st and June 7th. Semifinal battles will take place on June 14th, and both the Championship and 3rd Place battles will be held on June 21st. All battles will take place at the Jackalope Lounj.
