Milwaukee’s indie-sleaze torchbearers Alley Eyes are back with their latest single “Punisher,” dropped on May 21st, and it’s exactly the kind of propulsive, riff-heavy anthem we’ve come to expect from the quartet.

Clocking in at 3:39, “Punisher” channels the same garage-rock energy that’s made the band a staple on stages at Cactus Club, X-Ray Arcade, and Vivarium. The track pulses with a driving tempo, loaded with enough energy to make your morning coffee nervous. There’s a danceable groove buried under those punchy guitars, balanced by a surprisingly uplifting valence that suggests these guys aren’t just punishing—they’re having a damn good time doing it.
