Collections of Colonies of Bees have gone country – at least for three songs, that is. Their new EP, “Rhinestones” originated while rehearsing for the release of their new album, “Celebrities,” this June. While Marielle Allschwang was between songs in rehearsal, she would sing the new tracks with a retro country twang, and the idea was born. The country arrangements came together, and it now serves as a three-song preview of the band’s new album. However, the new record will feature the non-country versions of these songs and more when it comes out via Castle Danger Records. Check out the three-song EP today:
