Indie rock voyagers 5pm To Nowhere have new music out as of this past weekend, and they establish a solid groove on “Due South,” the latest in a string of recent singles. The song lives on a funky blend of plunky piano and very present drums in the mix. Things eventually bust wide open, though, with the band letting loose by the song’s chorus. Lyrically, the song is about an escape, leaving in the dead of night to hit the road.
