The new single “Can You Feel Your Shadow?” by Cloud, marks an exciting evolution for the Japanese singer-songwrite and it brings with it introspective themes with an unexpectedly retro sonic style; something you do not hear much of these days!

“Can You Feel Your Shadow?” follows on from Cloud’s guitar based previous releases “Overdrive” and “Room” which emerged earlier this year. Also, this track boldly ventures into an 80s inspired and synth driven world that’s familiar but yet distinct at the same time. Additionally, this single feels somewhat larger-than-life and it is akin to the classic pop-rock energy that once filled arenas in previous decades.

The themes explored by Cloud are self-awareness and introspection, inviting us to confront our own sense of presence. The title itself asks an intriguing question and it leaves us wondering if we are truly in tune with ourselves?
