Social Cig are fully in their stride as a band, and you can hear that with their new EP, “In The Pocket,” which came out last week Friday. There’s five tracks of indie pop here, delivered with the infectious energy that frontman Parker Schultz and his band bring. With clever lyrics interspersed into songs like “Cats & Dogs,” Schultz is able to mix a simple, traditional pop sound with more complex personal thoughts, giving everything more depth. Social Cig celebrated the release of “In The Pocket” at Cactus Club on Tuesday night, with a full winter tour taking the band south through all of January. Check out the EP below:
