AUDIO: Shonn Hinton – “Night & Day”
Shonn Hinton dropped a new single on Wednesday, and he brings an old school sounding funk to a modern love song with “Night & Day.” The song is about being obsessed with a girl; she’s the first thing he thinks about in the morning and the last when he goes to bed. A retro-feeling bass line and synthetic drums do the heavy lifting on the track, giving Hinton room to play with layered vocals. “Night & Day” could have been the biggest R&B song of the late ’80s, and can still shake things up in 2023 as well.
