Americana-folk rockers HOSTS released their fourth album on Friday complete with a release show at Linneman’s Riverwest Inn that evening. With seven songs, this record heavily draws upon themes of self-exploration and seeking clarity. Frontman Miles Patzer is a heartfelt and earnest songwriter, giving his words plenty of space to breathe in country-tinged atmospheres that accompany topics of meaning, purpose and focus. HOSTS’ “Wade Low” is an emotive journey through existential reconciliation, worldly contemplation and personal redemption.
