Ian Ewing’s compositions can always take you to a different place. His most recent track, “Baguette,” does that, flipping a Migos sample in the middle of a hazy, synth-filled dreamscape of a track. With a mostly instrumental piece, Ewing can give you the feeling of floating away, drifting off to whatever world you want to create while grooving along to this one. The layering on this one is pristine, with the sample interspersed amongst drum fills and breathy layers in a way that things appear to come and go in the course of three minutes.
