AUDIO: Sun Silo – “Trillium”

Art rockers Sun Silo released their sophomore album this past week. Experimenting with different methods of sound and recording, this album cascades with catharsis, touching on esoteric themes from God to disillusionment to love to nature. The band varies in volume here, being loud and raucous at times while arcadian in thought at others. The ten-and-a-half minute long closer “Diana” serves as a serene love opus that closes wounds of the past with light of the present. “Trillium” is a diverse contemplation of the arcane, with each song like the leaf of the titular flowering plant.
