Folk artist Andy Braun has a new record out, and he encapsulates the spirit of traditional Americana on “22.” The record has a very humble, simple approach to it with a bit of humor injected on songs like opener “Only Thing That’s Left To Do is Die.” Braun’s vocals are crisp and true, and it punctuates his acoustic guitar backing, as well as lyrics about what he’s gone through or where he wants to be. “22” is a record that feels like a tribute to great singer/songwriters of the past while giving the sound a refreshed makeover.
