Post-punk project Evinspragg is out with a new record. It’s about as nihilist as it gets, touching on grim subject matter ranging from meaninglessness to delusion to survival through repetition. We’re all just eagerly waiting to get sucked into a black hole, at the end of the day – “death is certain, life is not” as the sixth track puts it. The final track reminds us that love is the only semblance of meaning we have, and Eric Mayer jams with anxious dread as if he’s standing in the void himself. If you’re looking for something especially Nietzschean, look no further than Evinspragg.
