After much anticipation and several lead-up singles, Joe Quinto’s new full-length, “Blue Genes” is out today. The nine-song project features the previously released material, as well as new cuts that all have an intimate, stripped down feeling. Quinto doesn’t shy away from wearing his heart on his sleeve here, and it remains consistent with the sound that he’s honed over the last couple of years. Features from Keegan Calmes, Miguel Diaz, Klassik and LaFond all help to merge the worlds of pop and hip hop, all while maintaining a consistent feel. “Blue Genes” is Joe Quinto letting it all air out, and he does well to make his innermost thoughts compelling on the new album.
