Psychedelic rockers Fuzzysurf are out with the full-length record we’ve been anticipating all year. Featuring candy-coated pop songs with catchy choruses, the record fittingly-so is like a visit to the candy shop, and each tune is a different confectionery joy. The band states on Bandcamp that they’d hoped to twist the concept of “pop” into something reinventive, since modern music industry standards continually press “substance” in what is considered “good.” They pull through with something bouncy, affable, surf-y, and flavorful. There’s videos to accompany the songs “I Don’t Dream Anymore,” “Electric Trick,” “How Do You Decide?,” and “She Was Crying Sugar.”
