AUDIO: The Keystones – “Blackheart”

Alternative rockers The Keystones’ new single is your indie ballad of the summer. Featuring lyrics of deep fried hearts and “misfortunately” stacked tarot cards, it’s about loving someone who not only isn’t there to give it back but who is impossible to imagine it working out with. Many of us have been there before – love is a game. The song has a powerful guitar melody that captivates both sadness and temptation in the exact mysterious formula that love plays by. The Keystones are one of Milwaukee’s premier rock bands and this jam once again solidifies that. They recently said goodbye to frontman Jack Sherman, who is now pursuing fiction writing. This is their last release featuring him; they are currently holding auditions for a new member.
