Noise rock band Primitive Broadcast Service is out with a new track. The theme here is the massive four-faced clock towers in Milwaukee that were manufactured during wartime and had been used as a waypoint for those working in industry. Nowadays, the clocks are symbolic of our city – where no metro area in the country incarcerates black men at a higher rate. This fact is fueled by racism, gentrification, and segregation that have plagued Milwaukee for decades, and the song itself tells the story of two friends (one white and one black) on a night out only to find violence and terror in the very place they call home. Tales of these are all too prevalent in our despicable justice system, and we love to see Primitive Broadcast Service taking a stand for what is right in the best way possible.
