Within the last year or so, Armon Hassan has strung together a number of tracks that have blurred the lines between hip hop, electronic, emo and more. The newest is “Wasteland”, a track that looks introspectively at the toll a party lifestyle can take on one’s body. There’s some brutally honest lyrics within the song, including the hook that literally puts the title of the song into context. The production is dark, with just the right amount of processing and effects to really convey the feeling that Hassan is going for on the track.
