Former members of Direct Hit! Danny Walkowiak and Steve Maury have a new project called Mertles Acres, and they’re anxiously gearing up for the release of their debut album on April 3rd. With that, they’ve released their second single from the album, “Last Summer”. The track features all of the bounciness of the best pop punk songs, with plenty of catchy vocal melodies that will ensure that you get this song stuck in your head. The track is a testament to the songwriting that helped launch Direct Hit! to success, and undoubtedly we’ll get more of that from the band’s debut album as well.
