There’s something special about a split EP within the punk and indie world that you just don’t get from other genres of music. While the format is virtually irrelevant in the streaming era, the latest split from Milwaukee bands Divine Crush and Gash is a reminder that sometimes it only takes one release to showcase two great bands and bring them into your world, and this is it. Divine Crush’s “Leak” and “Bioengineer” are very guitar driven, and more upbeat than Gash’s “The Kid” and “Thumb”, but the latter band’s tracks hit just a little bit harder.
