There’s no subtlety to a song like Nickel&Rose’s latest, “Another Man”, and there doesn’t need to be. Given the climate of the present day, the local Americana act doesn’t shy away from talking about police brutality and treatment of African Americans and women. That being said, the track is also a showcase of the musicianship of the duo, and once again reinforces how they’ve managed to achieve the level of success that they’re at currently. The single appears to be a one-off, yet powerful release, and a solid momentum starter as the band will be heading off to Europe for tour shortly, followed by a showcase at Americanafest in Nashville.
