AUDIO: Dodgeball Club – “That’s What The Kids Say”
If there’s such a thing as post-pop-punk, Dodgeball Club have found it on their debut EP, “That’s What The Kids Say”. The band has been gigging around town for some time, but the new record captures their live energy, putting a polish on their tracks. While many of the melodic tendencies of traditional pop punk are present on the record, there’s a progressive feel to the release, as well. Songs like “Way Out West” and the release’s title track may not get the biggest reception amongst pop-punk purists, but alternative rock fans will definitely find comfort in the sound of those cuts. Throughout the EP, the band never loses their energy or intensity, and it’s a great sampling of what Dodgeball Club is all about. Check out “That’s What The Kids Say” below:
Carry me over rocks
They are great to see live. I especially love the title track, but the entire EP is excellent.
