If you were looking for a straight up, no frills, heavy rock record to kick start your day, you’ve come to the right place. Madison’s Powerhouse were a force to be reckoned with sonically in the 90’s, until calling it quits right around the turn of the millennium. However, the band is back, located in Milwaukee now, and recently released their self-titled album, recorded with Shane Hochstetler of Howl Street Recordings. The album is gritty, tight, and packs a punch like no other. Before the end of the first half of the record, you’ll already be craving more from the band, and even if you have no prior knowledge of their 90’s run, you’ll be stoked on this release.
