Ah, the Oregon Trail. If you grew up in the 90’s and your school was underfunded, you vividly remember the 8-bit adventure game, where you had to navigate your way west, and hope you made it all the way without dying of dysentery. It was almost more than your brain could comprehend, as you stared at a Macintosh Classic II in awe before the bell rang. If you miss that sense of wonder in your life, Trapper Schoepp has brought it back via a wonderful video for “Ballad of Olof Johnson”, with help from director Nathaniel Akin. The single is from the upcoming “Rangers & Valentines”, due out April 1st. Watch as our hero, Swedish immigrant Olof Johnson, tries to survive, and there’s even a cameo from the band.
