AUDIO: Trey the Visionary – “Keep Lit”

Hip hop artist Trey the Visionary’s latest single is pretty self-explanatory; he’s keeping the energy lively here with a fun, bouncy hook. The message of “Keep Lit” is simple and feel-good; Trey’s looking to cut off the negativity so he can focus on hard work and live leisurely whether it’s late-night debauchery or extravagant trips. With three EPs, 2023 was a major comeback year for Trey the Visionary, and we’ll be watching what he’s got cooking in the coming year.

AUDIO: Trey The Visionary – “Citrines And Peridots”

Trey The Visionary recently dropped a new EP, and he’s tightening up his flow on “Citrines And Peridots.” The four-track EP clocks in at just under 10 minutes total, but that’s all Trey needs to get his point across. He’s standing tall on this project, with a swagger and charisma that commands every verse that he puts down. “Citrines And Peridots” is the third EP we’ve gotten from Trey The Visionary this year, and there seems to be no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Check out the project below:

AUDIO: Trey The Visionary – “Trophy Vision$”

At the tail end of last year, Trey The Visionary dropped an EP called “Trophy Vision$.” The project is in some ways a reflection of what 2020 entailed for a lot of people, with stories of being laid off and having a promising outlook on the future. Each of the four tracks on the EP are relatively short, but Trey has a competent flow that holds your attention from start to finish with each song. Trey The Visionary continues to put in work, and hopefully has a better 2021 ahead, and you can check out the “Trophy Vision$” EP below:

AUDIO: Trey The Visionary – “Landslide”

Trap artist Trey The Visionary has maintained a strong work ethic this year, and that includes his most recent project, “Landslide.” The 13-track project is full of mainstream-ready production, giving you a clear view of Trey’s intentions as an artist. You can hear the potential as well; Trey covers much of the same topics that you would hear on the radio, without the effort that would make you think he’s necessarily chasing a radio single. It’s a well-rounded release, with lyrics from ranging from staying humble with family and friends to street warfare on tracks like “Tanks Out.” There’s a lot happening on “Landslide,” but overall, you can hear an artist getting things figured out, showing what he’s capable of growing into. AUDIO: Trey The Visionary – “Hyenas”

Trey The Visionary is a young artist that is hungry to make his name known. His latest single is “Hyenas”, a track that features smooth production and a natural feeling flow. There’s plenty of flexing here, but an exuberance of confidence feels right for just about any young artist looking to stand out. There’s also plenty of lyrics, as you would expect, about watching your back for the opposition. “Hyenas” is the first track to follow Trey’s “The High Point” EP, and undoubtedly there’s plenty more in the tank as we move into summer. AUDIO: Trey The Visionary – “The High Point”

The third project from Milwaukee artist Trey The Visionary proclaims itself with its title. “The High Point” is a fitting title, as it’s some of Trey’s strongest work, featuring four tracks that could each serve as a single in their own right. With plenty of mid-tempo beats at his disposal, Trey brings a confident swagger to his delivery, humble-bragging his way through his verses in a way that doesn’t feel egregious. Trey The Visionary has plenty of potential, and if his moniker is any indicator, he also has a set path for himself going forward. Get a glimpse of what he has in store with “The High Point” EP below:

VIDEO: JV Harris Featuring Trey The Visionary – “Get Out”

Milwaukee’s next generation of hip hop acts are on the come up, and JV Harris is definitely one of the fresher faces making his way into the scene. His latest track, “Get Out” featuring Trey The Visionary, is a showcase of both artists’ talents, with confident flows over some floating production. The track comes from Harris’ most recent EP, “Nothing To Prove”, and is one of the standouts from the release. Both Harris and Trey trade off bars effortlessly, and we see the pair take over Black Cat Alley in the Jack Wilkins-directed performance clip.
