VIDEO: Dozzi B Marz – “Splish Splash”

Dozzi B Marz is back with the video for the second single to his upcoming project, “The Moonwalker”, and brings all sorts of swagger to “Splish Splash”. With production from Moes’Art, who he frequently collaborated with on his “Vocal Cords, Ear Drums, Organs and the Heartbeat” project, Dozzi manages to take a simplistic phrase and flip it to sound like a trap flex. The verses are anything but simple, though, as Marz proves that when he needs to, he can truly rap with a smooth double time flow as well. We’ll be anticipating the drop for “The Moonwalker” in the near future, but you can check out the CTM Films-directed video below:

VIDEO: Dozzi B Marz – “Billi Jean”

One of the most compelling local artists of the early part of 2018 was Dozzi B Marz, a rapper that was ready to match the energy of your favorite Soundcloud rapper, but could actually spit better bars than most of the names that took over. Since the release of his “Vocal Cords, Ear Drums, Organs, and The Heartbeat” and “G L O W” EPs last year, things have been relatively quiet, as Dozzi prepares his first full-length, “The MoonWalker”. The first single from the project is “Billi Jean”, which debuted on New Year’s Day via a neon-lit video by CTM Films. The track is relatively low-key from Dozzi vocally, but glimpses of the high intensity flow and his unique voice makes the track memorable. We’re eagerly anticipating “The MoonWalker”, which is currently without a release date, but you can check out the video for “Billi Jean” below:

VIDEO: Center City – “Live From The Center”

Center City is poised to usher in the next generation of Milwaukee hip hop, and they’re doing it their way. The latest offering from the collective is “Live From The Center”, a posse cut that showcases the work of Dozzi B Marz, J. Rosco, April Effin May, and Big Beat MKE competitor Ag Da Gift. It’s clear that the group has their own unique style, and a swagger about themselves that is all their own as well. We’ll look for more from Center City as a collective, but you can get your introduction to the group with “Live From The Center” below:

AUDIO: Dozzi B Marz – “Glow”

Just two months after his debut EP dropped, Dozzi B Marz is back with five new tracks for his “Glow” EP. Linking up with previous collaborator Moes’Art, as well as Charley Cooks and Rich P, Dozzi continues to create his infectious signature sound. Rarely does it seem like a young artist has the ability to create a wave for himself right out of the gate, but that really seems like it is the case here. Milwaukee might be on the verge of something big with Dozzi, not unlike the hype that eventually surrounded Chief Keef early on in Chicago, and the energy is there to create that type of impression. If you didn’t get introduced to him with his last project, you’re now two EPs behind unless you check out “Glow” below:

AUDIO: DJ Draulikz Featuring Dozzi B Marz and Rich P. – “Baller Alert”

Some of the new names in Milwaukee hip hop are coming together, and making excellent singles in the process. Case in point; the latest from DJ Draulikz Featuring Dozzi B Marz and Rich P. “Baller Alert” features some strong production from the Moes’Art, and both Dozzi and Rich P. provide some smooth verses over the beat. This definitely has some contemporary hip hop appeal to it, with a hook that you’ll probably end up singing along with. This is a strong collaboration throughout, with both Rich P. and Dozzi B Marz’ styles complimenting one another. Check out “Baller Alert” below:

AUDIO: Dozzi B Marz – “Valid”

Fresh off of his “Vocal Cords Ear Drums Organs and the Heartbeat” EP, Dozzi B Marz is already back with a new single. “Valid” comes less than a month after the project, and only keeps the momentum going for Dozzi. Produced by Rich P, the track has a fairly different sound than most contemporary Milwaukee hip hop, but that seems to be the norm for the new artist. With a unique flow that combines melody, intensity, and style, Dozzi flexes on this one. The ball is rolling for Dozzi B Marz, and if he keeps up a consistent release schedule, it seems like it may not be slowing down any time soon. Check out “Valid” below:

AUDIO: Dozzi B Marz – “Vocal Cords Ear Drums Organs And The Heartbeat”

The local hip hop scene might’ve just gotten a new player in a major way, as Dozzi B Marz recently dropped his “Vocal Cords Ear Drums Organs And The Heartbeat” project. I can honestly say that I haven’t heard a Milwaukee artist with this unique of a delivery, and with the right amount of hype behind him, the sky is the limit for Dozzi. One listen to project opener “Right On Time”, and you’ll hear what I’m talking about. There’s a mixture of true hip hop skill, pop catchiness, and the creativity of the experimental music that tends to find its legs on the internet. We’ll see where this takes Dozzi B Marz, but this is definitely not a project to skip over. Check it out below:
