There is always something invigorating about hearing a track that sounds unique, and that is the case for “Rush” by British duo, TheLights. Moreover, this new experimental electronic track creates its own course, and it stays clear of anything which has come before it. Yes, there are subtle influences here and there, but the duo, which is made up of SLND and DEETZSCHK do it their own way for the most part, and their enthusiasm and confidence pays off in the mix.

“Rush” is likely a feeling which came to the pair after creating the music, given that it does make you feel like you are stepping away from the madness and busyness of modern life. As the track plays, the sounds all come together to create a cohesive wall of sound, and the music often shifts direction. Furthermore, it is hard to work out where we are heading sometimes with the duo surprising us with structural changes but I love it!

The song is also just the start for the duo, who are likely to become an even greater force in the experimental electronic space in the years to come.
