VIDEO: LL Coogi – “Million Dollar Legs” – Rap Draft Performance

Milwaukee’s own LL Coogi stepped up to the Rap Draft mic and did exactly what his fans expected him to do: brought them bars. No gimmicks, no auto-tuned filler, just the kind of sharp, battle-tested pen work that earned him a reputation across the Midwest underground long before the streaming era caught up to him.

The performance highlights “Million Dollar Legs,” a standout from his latest project Cold March 9 (Kooler Kit Edition), which features a guest appearance from Dray74 on the studio version. Stripped down for the Rap Draft stage, the track becomes a showcase for what Coogi does best — dense, punch-heavy delivery balanced with the kind of storytelling that only comes from years of grinding in the trenches.

For those late to the party, LL Coogi came up through Milwaukee’s notoriously competitive battle rap scene before pivoting into a full-time recording career. That battle-rap DNA is still all over his catalog — every bar feels like it’s aimed at somebody — but he’s paired it with street-centered production and a project-based release strategy that keeps his Cold March series rolling deeper each year. Cold March 9 adds to a run that already includes co-signs from the likes of Gangsta Grillz and puts him in rare company for indie artists working outside the major-label machine.

The Rap Draft Performance format suits him. There’s nowhere to hide on that stage, and Coogi doesn’t try to. He leans in, lets the bars breathe, and reminds anyone paying attention that the rap-first, lyrics-first era never actually died — it just moved to the cities the industry stops paying attention to between award shows.
