Genesis Renji does what he wants. He carries that energy into his latest release, “Kissing With Friends.” Four years in the making, the album sees Genesis get back to rapping, with a swagger and a confidence that becomes apparent from the present from the first bars of opener “Say It All.”  Renji’s vocals float over production from a team of beatmakers, and cameos from Von Alexander, DJ Bizzon, Klassik, and many more round things out. In an era where disposible music is prevalent, “Kissing With Friends” is focused on replay value, and it may very well be one of the most memorable Milwaukee projects of 2025.
