To start off the new year properly, indie rockers Royal Mill have a brand new earworm with “Keep It Down.” The single has a brooding feel to it, before ultimately opening to a much more dynamic sound on the hook. It’s a song that talks about blocking out the noise of the world, combatting the attitudes of people on the internet and hoping for change. The song has pure pop intentions, with just a bit of extra bite from the guitars along the way. B-side “Are You Out There” is equally as catchy, with a more melodic feel to it. Royal Mill opened their year with a show at Falcon Bowl on Thursday night, and you can expect more from them this year. Check out the single here:
