Next Paperback Hero released a new album last week, and singer/songwriter Nathan Honore remains as poignant as ever on “Waves.” The eight-track project tackles everything from taking a break to reset (“Teardrops In The Water”) to finding his way through the manic pace of New York City (“Aftershock & Vibration.”) Honore gives you a window to his world on the record, sharing intimate thoughts about himself and the world around him on each track. It feels reflective, with a vocal performance that feels profound when reverborating off of his acoustic guitar and stripped down production. “Waves” is a record that can mean a lot to you, if you’ll let it.
