AUDIO: Known Moons – “Everything Is”

It’s a good day in Milwaukee, because after much anticipation, Known Moons’ debut EP “Everything Is,” is out now. Led by Andy Kosanke of Paper Holland and M.A.G.S., the band takes a myriad of different influences and throws them together for this record. Everything from lo-fi drum machines to fuzzy synths and guitars are in play here, and it’s all meticulously blended together in a way that just feels right when you hear it. Kosanke’s lyrics look at the big things in life while also obsessing over the minscule, as you can hear in the metaphor of the role of batteries in our lives on “Simultaneous High.” There’s big picture things happening here, but also intricate minor elements that help make the sum of the parts even bigger when you hear it. “Everything Is” is a release that genuinely feels like a next step forward in a lot of respects, and you can hear it below:
