Indie pop hybrid Shontrail released a new single on Wednesday, floating on “Thru The Rafters.” The track features a fairly unassuming beat to start and continues to build as the song goes along, as Shontrail gets just a bit more intense as well. Lyrically, he’s going through it on this one, ruminating on the world and getting high to get by. There’s an element of post-punk energy that Shontrail gives off here, and while he’s still crafting exactly what lane he wants to go in, having the endless possibility of different sounding music is exciting as a listener.
